I was born in mid-September to Renee and Charles Swan; more than two decades ago now... but that's hardly exciting. It is, nonetheless, the beginning. My beginning; a typical start to a discernibly average life... I never imagined it would turn out to be the beginning of a fairytale.
Life was always a bit plastic... and I was just your average, run-of-the-mill, brown-eyed, brown-haired girl. Nothing extraordinary; nothing special. A child of divorced parents, I bounced from Washington to California and on to Arizona, only to return -- a bit begrudgingly -- to Washington state once more. Where, much to my surprise, life finally became interesting...
My return to the small, seemingly quiet town of Forks held something beyond my wildest comprehension: Edward Cullen. When I first set eyes upon him, I never thought he would even look my way... Let alone become my world. My life. My love. But that he is. Everything I can describe and all the things that I can't possibly put into words. He is simply everything. Period.
I can't say that it was always a dream... of course, there were a few "bumps" along the way... but our love has persevered. And now, I find myself married to this unimaginably perfect man. I still can't believe it. And more so, I am blessed to be the mother of his breathtakingly beautiful child; my baby, my nudger, our Renesmee. In all things, I am surrounded by love, by my family and by the most unforgettable friends. I am blessed.
So my life became a fantasy without the traditional fairytale ending... without an end in sight. It is more perfect than I could possibly have wished for and certainly more than any one person deserves.
And all because one man offered the world to a stubborn, boring, plain young girl... Edward, you have given me more than you could ever know. I love you.
And because of you I will always hold a special place in my heart for onion roots....

Something About Me
I was born Edward Anthony Masen in Chicago, Illinois. It seems like a very long time ago. My memories of Edward Masen's life are distant, dark and clouded - a past life - most of which has been lost in the folds of time. My parents, the ones who brought me into this world, are dead, succumbing to illness one after the other.
My life was changed after this loss, more than I can begin to explain. Dr. Carlisle Cullen who tended to my mother at her deathbed adopted me, and he and his wife Esme became the truest parents I had ever known. This was my family, and it grew, the goodness and love that Carlisle and Esme had radiated over us all: myself, Jasper, Alice, Rosalie and Emmett. I did my best to emulate Carlisle, his control and his careful thought, my purpose was to maintain the life he has created for us all.
Life was satisfactory, banal but tolerable, until the day I met Bella Swan. I never knew that someone like her could exist. She could destroy me in a moment, but she was my light and I was blind without her. From the most unstable of beginnings our love took root and grew.
Now that beautiful Swan is my wife. She is selfless, brilliant and beautiful. Our love has been tested and found worthy. I love you Bella. You have given me a beautiful daughter, Renesmee, who never ceases to amaze me. She is the best part of both of us.
I spend most of my time doting over those two, seeking advice from Carlisle and keeping in touch with our extended family. When I find free time I enjoy driving fast, expanding my music collection, playing the piano, reading incessantly and playing a game of baseball with my family whenever the weather allows.
